Suzlon Energy Q1 Results for June 30, 2010

Suzlon Energy Ltd has announced the following Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010:

The Company has posted a net loss of Rs (4076.30) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to net loss of Rs (1604.70) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Total Income has increased from Rs 3593.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 5712.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.

The Consolidated Results are as follows

The Unaudited results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010:

The Group has posted a net loss after share in associate’s profit and minority interest of Rs (9122.20) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 as compared to net loss of Rs (4526.70) million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. Total Income has decreased from Rs 41927.20 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2009 to Rs 24279.70 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2010.

– Hansen Transmissions International NV (Hansen) ceased to be a subsidiary of the Company with effect from November 24, 2009. The Company is holding 26.06% stake in Hansen as on June 30, 2010 and accounting it as an Associate. The consolidated financial figures for year ended March 31, 2010 inter alia include the financial figures or Hansen till November 2009 as subsidiary and subsequently as an Associate. Accordingly, the consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2010 are to that extent not comparable with the consolidated financial results of the prior periods presented.
